When my son was born, we got a few rubber play mats to put around the house. There were alphabet mats and number mats and zig-zag puzzle mats to cushion Baby's floor play, tummy time, and first failed attempts at crawling and walking. They were functional and cute enough, but one thing really annoyed me about them—once he got a little older, he started ripping the pieces apart! It defeated the whole purpose and made a giant mess for me to clean at the end of the day.
That's why I was so excited to discover this large roll-up play mat from Baby Care. It takes up ample floor space, but is easy enough to move around the house from room to room. It's double-sided—meaning, we get to choose which colorful scene we want to play in every day, and I love the bright and whimsical forest-inspired imagery. (The other side is wild alphabet animals, great for silly baby shenanigans!) It's got a good bounce to it too—so it's perfect for my little lady's frequent stumbles (we're still learning this whole walking thing).
