Cocktails, friends, makeovers, and foot massages… This scenario adds up to my ideal moms’ night out!
Luckily for me, I recently joined Momtrends, Meredith Corporation, and a few fabulous influencers for an evening that included all of the above and so much more.
Hosted by the MT team and Parents editor-in-chief Liz Vacarriello with editors of various other Meredith parenting magazines, the event brought together bloggers and brands. Whilst learning about a few amazing products and companies for moms, we were treated to fun and informative activations and lots of mixing and mingling.
I’m not one to keep all the latest and greatest to myself (after all, we are the biz of blogging!), so without further adieu, lemme share some of my fave finds from #MTNightOut2.
I’m not the biggest big gym rat or most enthusiastic exerciser. In fact, I’m slightly ashamed to admit that my daily workout is the twice-daily walk to elementary-school drop off and pick up. And then there’s all the errands I run in between and taxi-less city trips. I guess I actually do get a significant amount of milage in.
But here’s the problem: I’m typically wearing totally impractical shoes for all of these activities. My feet are paying the price for my lack of legit workout shoes. Why would I need a running shoe when I’m just strolling back and forth, and here and there?
Alas, the discovery of the new Fresh Foam Arishi from New Balance has been a total game changer for my tired toesies. They’re insanely comfortable, supportive, and stylish—and I don’t know how I survived without them for so long!
After a ten-minute foot massage at #MTNightOut2 (thank you Mani or Pedi NYC!), I got to try on my own pair... and I haven’t taken them off since.
My little lady has fiercely proclaimed that she is NEVER going on the potty… and so I’m still knee deep in diaper duty. Thankfully, I have a Munchkin diaper pail to keep the house odor-free.
Munchkin was represented at the event with a mock nursery and DIY floral-arranging station. We were encouraged to create own bouquets and display them in vases to decorate their beautifully designed and beautifully fragrant nursery.
The Munchkin Step Pail features a self-sealing system to lock out odors, and the brand’s Get a Pail, Give a Tree program means that for every diaper disposal system sold, Munchkin will plant a tree.
I love me an iconic family vacation. My littles are still young, but Williamburg, Virginia, is most definitely on our list. With theme parks, world-class championship golf courses, renowned spas, incredible culinary destinations, and the world’s largest living museum, there’s something to make the whole fam happy.
We were able to curate an inspiration board with the activities that would our trip an ideal getaway while sipping local mead and beer.
We’re a peanut-butter loving family—so Jif is a staple in our home. Its easy, convenient, protein-packed, and delicious! We especially like the Jif to Go packs for dipping on the move!
The Imagine If With Jif contest encourages parents to share how they’re making the world a better place for their kids. Now through Oct. 20, if you submit your idea, you could win up to $30,000 to make your plan a reality.
It’s been a good two and half or so years since I’ve swaddled an infant, but I could still probably do it with my eyes closed. Fortunately, you don’t have to be a baby-burrito-ing pr,o thanks to the amazing sleep-solution systems from Swaddle Me. They’re easy-to-use intuitive swaddles help make for a better of sleep for moms and littles. Swaddle me was at #MTNightOut2 showing off their lineup of new products, including a legs free swaddle. great for summer nights!, and a swaddle with pajama-like footies, ideal for chilly mornings.
You look and feel better when you sleep well… and nothing can compare—except maybe a professional makeup application—which is why we were treated to mini makeover sessions from GlamSquad.
And with sleep as a top priority, we’re heading off to bed now… Because, the only thing that beat a full eight hours of zzz’s is a moms’ night out! Until next time...
