The TSM Team: What We're Grateful For...

Happy Thanksgiving! We hope you have a wonderful, warm, bright, delicious, festive, and fun holiday with family and friends. To celebrate, The Shopping Mama is sharing a few of the things we're grateful for this year (besides, you, our loyal readers, of course!). Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend.

What are you most grateful for at 6 AM (or, you know, 5:45 AM... or, you know, 5:01 am... Ugh!)?
Coffee. All the coffee.

Okay, now try again except this time the answer can't be coffee. (If you didn't answer coffee to begin with, well kudos to you... Move on!)
That I'm waking up in a warm home surrounded by my healthy family.

What are you most grateful for at 7:30 PM/bedtime?
Bedtime? I'm grateful it's time for my healthy (and wild and crazy) kids to get some much needed rest.

Okay, now try again except this time the answer can't be wine. (If you didn't answer wine to begin with, well kudos to you... Move on!)

What me-time guilty pleasure are you most grateful for? (i.e. "Scandal.")
Happy hour wine get together with friends. The Mindy Project!

What's one NEW thing in your life that you're grateful for this year?
New friends who become family at our middle of nowhere base in Japan.

Share one thing each of your children is grateful for! (Ask them!)

What are you most grateful for at 6 AM (or, you know, 5:45 AM... or, you know, 5:01 am... Ugh!)?
Coffee. Strong coffee. Highly caffeinated coffee. In mah mouth. In my belly. Coursing through my veins.

Okay, now try again except this time the answer can't be coffee. (If you didn't answer coffee to begin with, well kudos to you... Move on!)
Can I say caffeine? Is that acceptable? Or maybe Disney Junior. It keeps my kids quasi entertained for a few precious moments while I drink my coffee.

What are you most grateful for at 7:30 PM/bedtime?
Wine. Television. Wine. My delicious bed with delicious wine.

Okay, now try again except this time the answer can't be wine. (If you didn't answer wine to begin with, well kudos to you... Move on!)
I'm grateful to have an hour or two (or maybe even three--winning!) to catch up on work and hang with my husband... usually whilst drinking wine.

What me-time guilty pleasure are you most grateful for? (i.e. "Scandal.")
I love to just drool in front of the television for an hour or two and scroll through my Instagram feed. I'm always game to read a juicy YA book. I'm grateful to have the occasional girls' night with my favorite friends (but that's not a guilty pleasure--that's a necessity!).

What's one NEW thing in your life that you're grateful for this year?
My youngest was born two days after Thanksgiving last year, so I'd be remiss if I didn't say that. I'm grateful for the sweetness she's brought into our lives. I'm grateful that she's made my son a big brother and made me a better mommy (at least, I hope). I'm grateful that she made us a family of four. I'm grateful for health, happiness, and love. (Unrelated, but I'm also grateful to be a part of Momtrends Media. I joined the team in February, and I'm so happy to be a part of this new work family too!)

Share one thing each of your children is grateful for! (Ask them!)
Grant, 3:"I thankful for 'cleaning up.'" [Jaw drop... I'm guessing he means he's thankful MOMMY cleans up FOR him.]
Penelope, Three days shy of 1:"Da da da da" [Coincidence? I think not.]

Ha, you got me! I'm grateful for those rare nights when my kids aren't fighting over the blankets or pillow or who gets to choose our book. When they are polite and attentive and we're able to enjoy some quiet time together reading, talking and snuggling. It's a great way to end our day.

What me-time guilty pleasure are you most grateful for?
Thursday nights. It's my me night. After the kids are tucked in bed, I indulge in a bubble bath with a scented candle, usually a fresh mani/pedi on the couch, big glass of wine and Grey's Anatomy. No work, don't call me, no chores, it's MY 2 hours a week I really let myself take some time to recharge.

What's one NEW thing in your life that you're grateful for this year?
Mrs Webb, my daughter's teacher. We seriously love her. It's amazing what a difference a good teacher can make!

NYC outdoor space is rare so I love having a back yard patio so I can sit out and have a glass of wine or look through the telescope.
