The New Layette Collection From aden + anais
I think I own twelve aden + anais swaddles—and that's a conservative guess. I've collected them since my now three-year-old was born, and I can't seem to stop... They're just so soft... so handy... so very versatile. When my babies were itty-bitty newborn bundles, I'd "burrito" them up in the iconic cotton-muslin blankets every night, but I'd also use the deliciously soft swaddles as breastfeeding scarves, car-seat covers, and stroller shades. I've laid them over public changing tables, and I always carry at least two in my oversize diaper bag. (True story: I once took one with me on a business trip—so I could cuddle up and think about my babies!) My swaddle obsession has even resulted in the outfitting of my own bed in the aden + anais grownup daydream blanket. Suffice to say, I'm loyal to the brand, and love everything from the sheets to the bibs to the cute and quilted burp clothes. So imagine my excitement when I learned that aden + anais was finally launching a layette collection.
The new aden + anais layette line includes super-soft basics for Baby—onesies, footie pajamas, kimono-style pieces, bloomers, and rompers. Available in newborn through 12-month sizes (nifty snaps make them adjustable, so they grow with infants), these separates are especially perfect for sizzling summer days—since everything is so lightweight, breathable, and effortlessly easy. Weather aside, if this cuddle-worthy collection had been available when my youngest was born back in November, I most definitely would have brought her home in one of these yummy outfits. (It's the next best thing to being naked... and almost as soft as a little baby's bare bum!)
