The holidays are a great time to talk to your kids about the importance of giving back. Our family donates to several charities that are important to our hearts. Especially during the holidays we try to go out of our way to make more of an effort to show our support in our community. We cook for families, donate to the food bank, and even do things small things like taking hot cocoa and coffee to our school crossing guards and base guards.

It's important to teach our kids that even small gestures make a big impact.

Even just a smile can make someone's day brighter.

This fall and winter stay warm with The Giving Hat and give back to charity at the same time.

Over the past 9 years Kmart shoppers and their associates have embodied the holiday spirit with their generous support of St Jude's Children's Research Hospital's Thanks and Giving campaign. This year St. Jude and Kmart collaborated to design the giving hat - exclusively at Kmart stores or online at Kmart.com/stjude.

When you purchase The Giving Hat for just $5, $1 from each hat sold will be donated to St. Jude. The gray and lime green hats are one-size-fits-all (adults and kids 9+). They are available with 3 different messages inspired by St. Jude patients and their families.

  • Smile
  • Give Thanks
  • Laugh A Lot

Since 2006, Kmart has raised over $76.7 million dollars to support the patients and families of St. Jude. The Giving Hat is a fashionable and inspirational campaign that helps raise awareness and funds the fight against childhood cancer. Helping these families and kids is something we want to stand behind and teach our kids about.
