Motherhood is hard. It can be exhausting and monotonous and, sometimes, totally overwhelming. But watching these two babies together warms my heart, soothes my soul, and saves my sanity.
Yes, it's true that parenting is no picnic. In fact, it's work. But it's incredibly inspiring and tremendously rewarding work, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
The most fulfilling part of my day is when my three year old hand hands my 16 month old part of his cookie; or when my little one leans in for a big fat lip kiss. They strive to make each other laugh and they never tire of cuddles.
Yes, the brother-sister bond is real and strong. They giggle, they play, they fight, and they love. As a mom (and a sister, myself) I know nothing is more important that family, and I see my children learning this life lesson every single day.
