You don't have to twist my arm to get me involved in National Lobster Day. I mean. It's a day to eat lobster. What's not to love here? Traditionally, these guys aren't super easy to prepare. But I have the easiest recipe for you to use so you can get the good stuff and not sacrifice any time.
First of all. Let's acknowledge these unbelievably adorable lobster plates. I knew I had to have them. But I also knew I had to make something with lobster to put on the plate or the man of the house would not be happy.
I decided to make lobster rolls. Okay, so not actual lobster rolls. I got the "fake lobster", the whitefish that's sold with lobster (and sometimes crab) flavoring. It's actually pretty stinkin' delicious especially if you combine it with bacon. Oh yeah. Here's how you make your own
Grab some faux lobster meat, bacon, provolone cheese, mayo, and some rolls. Cook the bacon, then lightly toast the rolls in the grease. Use the remaining bacon grease to soft cook the faux lobster. Put some cheese in the middle, add a touch of mayo, the bacon, and a whole bunch of "lobster".
And if you find your grocery store has ready made stuffed lobsters....well...you can add that to the menu, too. Especially if you have the plate.
