Mini Style: The Good Ones

My eight-year-old boy is the best. I mean, I know I'm biased, but he is a really cool kid. And he may just be the most aloof person I've ever met. This quality is never more clear than when I ask him to get dressed. It is not uncommon for him to come out of the room he shares with his three-year-old brother wearing size 4T clothes. Sadly, aside from being far too short, I'll admit the clothes generally fit him. But he is so totally unaware of what he's wearing that he doesn't even notice.

That being said, he's the first to let me know if his clothes are uncomfortable. Three sizes too short? Totally acceptable. Itchy tag? End of the world.

All this means that I still pick all of his clothes and he happily wears most everything I pick out for him. I consider it a bonus if he actually notices he's wearing something cool. And that's exactly what happened when he first saw his clothes from The Good Ones.

The Good Ones was started by the founders of One Lucky Guitar, a design and marketing boutique, and Matilda Jane Clothing "to create products celebrating the kids that light fireworks in our souls."

The Good Ones Clothing is make-believe…we have a make-believe band, that plays in make-believe locations, and likes make-believe things. And their make-believe journeys serve as a muse to us.

Let's face it, there's no denying this Adventure Club Jacket is cool. Cool blue with orange contrast stripes, front patch, arm patch and embroidery make this one a versatile and fun go-to. It's surprisingly warm and perfect for running around outside with friends.

Pair with the most comfortable pants ever - the Franklin Azul Straightees, pretty much a tee shirt for your legs. These striped pants have an elastic waistband and are 100% cotton. In other words, made for comfort. I'm kind of jealous they don't come in my size.

The Good Ones graphic tees are super fun, but of course the Hot Wasabi Tee is obviously our favorite. It's unbelievably soft and I have no doubt will be worn by kids in our family long after we move from Japan.
