Celebrate: Kids' Halloween Costume Party
Halloween gets festive around my house. I'm not shy about how much I love this holiday and I love a good Halloween party! Tricks and treats and dressing up and being silly, spooky, or sweet. It brings out the kid in me. My kids love it too. We threw a frightfully fun Kids' Halloween Costume Party to celebrate this fun holiday.

Cauldron cupcakes with "bubbling-and-brewing" frosting were a hit, and were gobbled up by the kiddos and adults alike. For a healthier option, I also served candy corn fruit parfaits. We all know that kids get enough candy at Halloween; this snack lets you get in some fruit before all the trick or treating. Purple witch's brew keeps them hydrated for a night full of spooks.
Kids' Halloween Costume Party decorations
For a great centerpiece I made several cheesecloth ghosts for the tables. These are stunning decorative accents, but, don't worry, they are simple to make. Check out Elmer's Cheesecloth Ghost directions
Since this is a kids' costume party, I made simple necklace awards to give out.
A photo-booth is always a hit at parties. Create your own photo-booth with these easy DIY Halloween props, including these super adorable candy corn glasses. You might need to make a few pairs of these—they were so popular!
A kids' party isn't complete without a fun craft. Let kids craft their own mummy trick-or-treat bag. It's a fun craft for the party and functional for trick or treating around the neighborhood afterwards. Double win!
One of my favorite DIY's for this Halloween Party was the ghosts bunting. Easy to make and cute for many years to come!
