Within the first month of my new routine I had lost 5 pounds. Now, that might not sound like a lot, but when you’re used to gaining and not losing, any amount of loss means the world. Fast forward ten months and I’m thrilled to report that I’m now down 25 pounds thanks to my modified diet and running habits. I still have a way to go, but I’m thrilled with the results thus far. That being said, while running several times a week has definitely helped kick my weight loss into gear, I wanted to get stronger too.
