Baby fever! It's real, and the snuggle is real! This mama felt the tell-tale uterus pangs after visiting the New York Baby Show earlier this month. I got to browse the aisles, touch, test, feel, and ogle all the latest and greatest products for Baby, and experience firsthand new innovations in gadgets, gizmos, and gear. And, boy (or girl!), have things changed. It's been just two and a half years since I had my second little one, and it seems like there have been so many amazing advances.
I just wanna try everything... (Anyone have a baby they want to lend me for a few hours?!) Here are my top three picks from the floor of the New York Baby Show.
FridaBaby Medicine Dispenser & Toothbrush: Don't be confused, these are two separate items. I just couldn't decide which one I liked more! I'm a big fan of FridaBaby, because it's a brand that seeks to find simple solutions to everyday parenting woes. (Plus, the company has a sense of humor... With items like a snot sucker, butt washer, and and gas-reliever, how could they not?!?)
So first, let's talk about the medicine dispenser. My little lady hates liquid medicine—but, really, who could blame her. The FridaBaby medicine-syringe is attached to a special pacifier. You can shoot the medicine through the syringe while Baby is obliviously sucking away, and it will bypass the tastebuds, resulting in less crying and no spit up! Brilliant.
The toothbrush features a unique dual-angled design, so it essentially hugs each tooth. My kids are both "lazy brushers," but they're reticent to accept my hygiene help. This produce would help ensure that every side of every tooth is getting some TLC!
Ten Things You Can Do RIGHT NOW to get ready for ski season
I finally see snow in the forecast here in Vermont and that means ski season isn't too far away. Like all gear-intensive sports, you're going to need to do some pre-season work to make sure you're ready for the first snow day. And don't forget, skiing and riding also require ...read more
Cheesy Chicken Nacho Recipe

Planning Snack Sized Fall Family Adventures
Fall is simply the best time of year for family adventures. When you live in New England, nature simply beckons you outdoors. Life was simpler when the girls were little, we had wide open calendars and outdoor adventures were easier to execute. But now with school plays, cross ...read more
Both new FridaBaby items will be available this summer.
embé Two-Way Swaddle: As newborns, my babies would always unswaddle themselves in the traditional muslin wraps. To this day, neither of them likes being covered with blankets in bed. I think they easily overheat; and that's why I was so intrigued by the new embé swaddle. It features a unique and patented "legs-out mode." You can unwrap the baby's legs for temperature control, but still keep him snug as a bug on the top. Plus, the no-rise design eliminates the potential problem of having the swaddle rise up and cover Baby's nose or face. Oh, and perhaps most exciting of all: the "legs-out" mode makes middle-of-the-night diaper changes a breeze.
Keekaroo Peanut Diaper Changer: The Keekaroo Peanut Changer features a strong outer shell that makes it impermeable to any fluid, so it's incredibly easy to clean up. That solid shell on the diaper changing pad also limits bacteria growth. Best of all, the Keekaroo Peanut Changer makes extra covers and pads unnecessary. Less laundry and less money over time! Keekaroo cushions are made to hug and support a child, so comfort is also key!
Well there you have it; a few of my top picks at the New York Baby Show. (In case you're wondering, I also loved these ITEMS!) I had so much fun hobnobbing on the floor, mentally shopping for gear, and hanging out in the #MTBlogger lounge. After a quick bite and Glam Squad mini makeover, I even got to go into the broadcast booth and talk about one of my favorite finds. Watch the video HERE.
