Easy DIY Halloween Costumes
I love Halloween. Now that I'm no longer trick-or-treating, I still find it amusing to dress up at parties. I never go the "risqué" route, but if you're like me and want to throw a little sense of humor into your costume—or you just want to surprise your kids by dressing up too, then these ideas are perfect for you. You can make these three costumes with similar supplies in no time at all!

Costume Idea #1: A Spelling Bee
Be a little buzzy bee that knows how to spell! This creative, pun worthy insect is so easy to make. Here's what you need:
A Yellow t-shirt
Black fabric paint
Hot Glue
Pipe cleaners
Felt Letters
Gauze
2 Hair elastics
Use the black paint to add lines to the yellow shirt. Then, think of some simple words you want to include. Some good ones are "trick", "treat", "bee", "candy", "boo", etc. Cut some gauze and hot glue it to the sides of the shirt. Then hot glue the ends to an elastic. Now you have wings! Twist pipe cleaners together to make a crown then add some more to make the antennae. You can add felt circles to the top to make them a little bit more buggy. Hot glue to secure and then buzz off! Add a little gold eye shadow around your face, too.
