As a mom, I'm always on the go. Keeping everything running smoothly is a big responsibility. Now that school is back in session I'm gearing up for those back to school germs to hit. I want to be prepared. With so many things on my plate at once, I need to keep things simple and easy. We recently shared that CVS pharmacy is now in Target, which makes it easy for me to stay on top of my family's health and wellness needs since it's a one-stop shop!
Even more exciting news is that there is a CVS Pharmacy App to make things even easier on everyone!
CVS Pharmacy App
You can find the CVS pharmacy app for free in your app store. I downloaded it in seconds and found out just how easy it was to use! (Also, sidenote if you have the Apple Watch, it's compatible on there as well.) You can even set up your account by scanning the back of your driver's license to save time!
The CVS pharmacy app makes it easy to scan paper prescriptions, refill old prescriptions, and notifies me when my prescriptions are ready to be picked up. With this app I will spend less time waiting at the pharmacy. This allows me to spend more time enjoying things with my little ones, like going to story time at the library and cheering at a gymnastics meet.
I love how handy this app is for my family. We recently went on a trip to visit family in a different state. Unfortunately, my oldest has horrible allergies and traveling to new places always makes them worse. She takes allergy medicine every single day. That trip however it had slipped my mind to refill her prescription before we left. Thankfully, with the CVS pharmacy app I was able to easily transfer the script to a location close to us so we could pick it up without ruining the vacation.
The app offers so many extra features as well like the pill identifier and drug interaction checker.
Both my husband and I love the MedRemind feature on the app and use it daily. Honestly because we're tired and we need to be reminded of things. Our days are long and after putting the kids to bed we usually stay up to watch a grown up show alone in the peace and quiet, but we can barely manage anything more than that. We're usually pretty exhausted by bedtime and the MedRemind feature notifies us when it's time to take a prescription. It's a great feature for exhausted parents!
ExtraCare Pharmacy and Health Rewards
As an ExtraCare member, we love the rewards you get through the ExtraCare Pharmacy and Health Rewards opt-in system. When you get rewarded for something you're going to be doing anyways, it's a win/win. ExtraCare Pharmacy and Health Rewards offers customers the opportunity to earn $5 ExtraBucks for every 10 prescriptions filled. You can also earn rewards for other things you are doing to keep your family healthy, like getting immunizations and setting email refill reminders.
Creating my online account with the CVS pharmacy app was a snap. The app will allow me to manage my family's prescription needs while on the go. Now, I can fill prescriptions in my pajamas with a cup of coffee, sitting in the pickup line at school or even when we are traveling.
Perfect for the on-the-go mama!
