About American Girl: Grace Thomas

Grace Thomas is a beautiful 18" doll, launching January 1, and will be available for all of 2015. She has long dark brown locks, sparkling blue eyes, and all the spunk and charm we love from American Girl. After an inspiring trip to Paris, Grace has the spirit of an entrepreneur and big dreams of starting her own baking business.

While in Paris, Grace learns to broaden her perspectives and challenges herself to learn new things. With the combined talent, and help, from her 2 best friends from home, Grace opens a baking business. Grace learns that working together is the best recipe for success and all her hard work pays off with some sweet rewards in the end.

Grace is a planner at heart but through 2 new books written by Mary Casanova, Grace stirs It Up and Grace Makes It Great, Grace is stepping out of her comfort zone to achieve her dreams. Using her newfound courage and culinary skills, Grace is enthusiastically encouraging girls to try new things, work together, and dream big!

For Goodness, Bake!

American Girl realizes that in the United States, 1 in 5 children struggles with hunger. With this in mind, American Girl has launched For Goodness, Bake!, a year-long fund-raising initiative in support of No Kid Hungry. With the help of Grace's message, that working together is the best recipe for success, American Girl is encouraging girls everywhere to work together to host charity bake sales and donate the proceeds to No Kid Hungry. To kick off the initiative American Girl has donated $50,000 to No Kid Hungry. For every $1 a girl raises, No Kid Hungry can connect a hungry child with 10 additional meals. What a great way to get kids involved in making the world a better place!

Parents can visit For Goodness, Bake! to learn more about the initiative, to register for the Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry, and be entered into the For Goodness, Bake! sweepstakes for the chance to win one of 41 Grace prize packages.
