Sugar, spice, and everything nice—it’s Baby’s first Valentine’s Day.
As a first-time “girl mom," I am beyond excited to dress my two-month-old sweet pea in frilly pink tutus, lacy red headbands, and heart-print booties come Feb. 14. Of course, she’ll probably make multiple wardrobe changes, as this subtle velour ensemble is also a must. At $90, it’s admittedly a splurge, but I couldn’t resist those pop-out golden wings—she is my little angel, after all.
As any mom knows, once you become a parent, the meaning of Valentine’s Day changes. It’s no longer only about romance, bubbly and quality couple time—although, my husband and I could definitely use some of that right about now. Rather, V-Day has turned into a family affair —and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I now get to a celebrate the unconditional love I give and get with two young children at home. And, as an added bonus, I get to buy ridiculously fun items for them!
To honor my mini Valentine (and all the other newbie love bugs out there), I’ve rounded up a few sweet, adorable, and charming finds for Baby’s first V-Day—from red bibs and burp cloths to pink hair bows and accessories. I even found a special binky for the occasion! Yeah, you're going to want to get out the camera—a photo shoot is very necessary. After all, Baby's First Valentine's Day only comes but once.
Happy Valentine's Day to you and your littlest loves! xo.
