Sugar, spice, and everything nice—it’s Baby’s first Valentine’s Day.
As a first-time “girl mom," I am beyond excited to dress my two-month-old sweet pea in frilly pink tutus, lacy red headbands, and heart-print booties come Feb. 14. Of course, she’ll probably make multiple wardrobe changes, as this subtle velour ensemble is also a must. At $90, it’s admittedly a splurge, but I couldn’t resist those pop-out golden wings—she is my little angel, after all.
As any mom knows, once you become a parent, the meaning of Valentine’s Day changes. It’s no longer only about romance, bubbly and quality couple time—although, my husband and I could definitely use some of that right about now. Rather, V-Day has turned into a family affair —and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I now get to a celebrate the unconditional love I give and get with two young children at home. And, as an added bonus, I get to buy ridiculously fun items for them!
