Winter Scarf Roundup

As most of the country is gearing up for even more snow and ice, I thought now would be a good time to talk scarves...I have a mild addiction to scarves myself. They're incredibly versatile and can transform your look in an instant. I decided to round up some scarves in my favorite winter hue...gray...and also in shades of pink, because I love working spring color trends into my looks a bit early!

Now, I'm not the most adept at tying scarves. Thankfully, there are plenty of scarves that don't require much skill to wear. Haha! Although, if you do want to get creative, we have a Pinterest board all about scarves with some great tutorials on how to tie a scarf!

A basic circle scarf, for instance, is foolproof. All you have to do is loop it over your head as many times as you're comfortable with. Whether you go for a more neutral circle scarf or a print, you can easily jazz up a plain sweater and skinnies combo with a simple circle scarf. I'm partial to the American Eagle beauty and its metallic dots. Who's with me?

A shawl scarf requires slightly more effort...and I mean a teeny tiny bit of increased effort. I loop mine around my neck with the ends hanging down my back and then cross and bring the ends around to the front. I top it off with a bit of fluffing and I'm done! I typically go with an oversized shawl scarf when I travel. It helps me look pulled together and keeps me warm if it's chilly on the plane or when I arrive at my destination. That animal print Banana Republic shawl is calling my name and would be perfect to add to my travel wardrobe!

A cable knit version of either style is my preference when it's super cold out...So, you can bet I'll be rockin' some cable knit cuties when I head to New York City this week! Doesn't that gray Monki number look cozy? I'm already shuddering just thinking about those temps and think I just may need it. Haha!
