This week I'm jumping on the poncho trend and styling it for winter:
Remember that big snow storm our East? It's proof that winter is not going away any time soon. In our next installment in the "what folks really wear in winter" I bring you the Poncho. This one is from Echo Design and I found it on Amazon. I was drawn to the stripes and the black and grey color. Black is a realistic color to wear in NYC--since everything gets mighty dirty in January.
I stuck with black on the leggings. This is a pair from Splendid called the Women's Hutton Coated Ponte Pants. They have a ruched ankle and I will warn you they fit small and short--be warned. But I love the way a slim legging tucks into boots. This is a old favorite pair from Ralph Lauren.
Let's talk accessories. I got a new Newsboy Hat (also from Echo) and I like it but not as much as the cashmere one I featured a few weeks ago. I never have enough gloves, so I felt no guilt picking up these Echo Touch Leather Glove with Ruching on amazon either. All my dressy gloves disappear.
For jewelry, I have a ShinyMix cuff peeking out and that's about it. It's a look I wore to meetings and work and the indoor/outdoor style really appealed to me.
I can't wait to see what you've been wearing. You ladies in the South are making me a tad bit jealous that all you need is a sweater and boom! You're done for winter.
