Why Jeggings are for Everyone

Hi my name is Kristin and I am addicted to jeggings! Personally, I believe they’re a denim style that EVERYONE can wear. I know not all of you lovely readers are agreeing with me right now, but give me a moment to plead my case for one of my favorite forms of denim. Believe me when I say that I have rocked jeggings on the regular for years, no matter where I was at in my weight loss journey. Thanks to a pregnancy and a thyroid issue, I’m a bit curvier than I used to be, but that hasn’t changed my opinion of jeggings at all...Nope, not one little bit!

First off, they’re ridiculously comfortable, if you get the right size that is. When it comes to denim, fit is king ladies. Don’t buy jeans in the hopes that they’ll fit someday. Buy what fits NOW. You will feel so much better and look so much better too! And while we’re talking comfort, look for jeggings with the perfect amount of stretch, like my Mossimo jeggings from Target. You don’t want them to fall off you after one wear, but you do want them to literally glide over your curves, hugging them, not digging into them. It’s all about the stretch.

Secondly, when going fitted on the bottom, pick a looser fitting top. You want to balance out the tightness of the jeggings and a flowy top does wonders for that. For instance, I paired my distressed jeggings with a flowy top, sandals and a statement bauble or two. What I got was a pulled together, yet totally comfortable look to face the day with. Finally, let’s talk rinse. Now I’ve made peace with my curves, so I’m comfortable rockin’ a lighter rinse, but I do still love to turn to a dark rinse pair of skinnies or jeggings when I’m looking for a slimming effect. They can do wonders! A pair of dark rinse leggings and killer stilettos makes for one fierce, elongating look...Just sayin’!

So, are you ready to give jeggings a chance, lovelies? Head over to Target and I bet you’ll find the perfect pair of jeans! Find your style @Targetstyle.
