I don't know about you, but I just love knits for winter. I've amassed quite a knit collection and it's my go-to look for a weekend winter outfit. The theme for the year is wearing what you love and getting style out of your closet.
The hat is from Dale of Norway, it's usually stolen by my 11 year old, but I got my hands on it again because it matched my sweater perfectly. I slipped on my favorite slim corduroys, and sneakers, plus a funky leopard belt.
For this set of photos, I went to this great lake up in Litchfield County. My lovely friend @Lilimango (find her on Instagram) shot the pictures for me on a chilly day. The beach house was empty and I love the look of a lake in winter. In the summer, this pier is full of kids and the site of our swim team.
This is an H&M sweater I picked up in an end of season sale (though this red-knit sweater is similar), it's got a fun sleeve and it's a big boyfriend fit—making it the idea option for cozy weekend fun.

Let's be honest: Most baby gyms look like a primary color explosion of yikesness. And yes, I owned one and found it an absolute lifesaver at that bewitching hour when every child under 1 starts crying right when you need to be cooking dinner. But whenever company arrived, I would ...read more
You've seen these Seavees Laguna sneakers before (I styled them with a plaid poncho around the holidays). Today I'm styling them with skinny black cords and a slouchy red sweater.
The belt is a fun detail and I picked it up seasons ago with cabi—leopard is the new solid. And I wear it all the time.
This is the way I regularly dress. I fill my weekend wardrobe with things I love. It's easy to get dressed and makes things simpler to store. That way I can focus on weekend outings with the kids, not shopping.
