Working out keeps me sane. But like everyone else, I have my days where I'd rather take a day off. Having cute workout gear goes a long way to keeping me motivated. Most days, I schedule my workouts for the morning. This helps me map out my day.
I drop the girls at school or camp, then run or take a class then I really dive deep into work. This means I start my day in workout gear. I get up and get dressed for my activity. I want clothes that look good on the street and while I'm getting my sweat on.
Cozy Orange, an eco-active women’s apparel brand, designs fashions that can move from street to gym. I got to test out a few Cozy Orange pieces this summer and try them out.
Here's the look I put together--I slipped on the Aster Top in Turkish Tile ($43) to head to my favorite pilates studio for a 1 on 1 training session. The top covered me up, but still looked like much more than a schlumpy t-shirt. Cozy Orange has loads of style--this outfit took me from home to gym to post-workout coffee. I loved the thumb hole detail, hood and open back.
Now let's talk about the more serious stuff. The Peony Sports Bra in Turkish Tile and Raven Black ($38) gave me great support throughout my workout. I don't know about running in it, but it would be great for interval training and yoga too.
I paired the top with the matching Athena Crops leggings also in Turkish Tile and Raven Black ($56)--these were great. Breathable, and supportive they could go for miles.
Here I am in action. Pilates has been wonderful at keeping my posture in good shape (oh, those hours at the computer can be brutal!) and was a huge help in getting my core strong. When I invest time in my workouts, I want to look my best--I think it helps me perform better.
