Three Ways to Wear a Maxi Dress

With summer winding down I'm trying to squeeze in as many summery looks as I possibly can before the inevitable fall mood takes me over. Even though I live in Florida and could rock summer style well into fall thanks to our super warm early fall temps, once I see the rest of the country embrace fall fashion, I don't really feel like rockin' sundresses and whatnot. One way I can sport a summer look that I won't want to put away come fall is by turning to my maxis. Floaty, airy maxi dresses are both perfect for summer and can totally be reworked for fall too. So, let's talk about some ways to wear a maxi dress.

I've rounded up a few of my favorite maxi looks that us ladies here at Team Momtrends have rocked in seasons past. You can take the style inspiration and roll with it now, then pick your favorite topper, like a denim jacket, to give your maxi dress or skirt life in the fall months!

floral maxi

Floral maxi...I would pair a fun floral print in a bold color like this vibrant green with a dark rinse denim jacket. My love for denim jackets knows no bounds. They're a fall wardrobe must have for me every single year. They're simply the perfect transitional piece!

tie dye maxi dress

Tie dye maxi...Here is where I break fashion rules...per usual. I know some of you steer clear of white denim after Labor Day, but not this girl. A tie dye maxi dress would look great with a white denim jacket even when the chill hits the air!

maxi skirt look

Maxi skirt...Now as much as I love my maxi dresses, I love a good maxi skirt too! And they're even easier to style for fall because you can add something like a tied up denim shirt on top...and a jacket as well if need be!

So, if you're looking for ways to wear a maxi dress now AND later, hopefully this helped!
