Three Late Summer Looks to Try

As we're pushing our way through summer, fall fashion is undoubtedly on our minds. Soon we'll be hard core concentrating on our fall wardrobes, but in the meantime there are still plenty of warm weather looks to be worn! It's downright HOT in my neck of the woods and will be for a while yet. I'm sure I'm not alone...So, I decided to round up a few of my favorite late summer looks from last year that would be perfectly at home this year too.

Skinny jeans...They'll never go out of style for this girl. I'm a big fan of the flowy on top, fitted on the bottom look and what's great about skinny jeans is that they're fabulous with sandals now and will be just as fabulous with booties later! On a side note, I'm big time crushin' on this AG pair. They're totally worth the investment if you think you'd wear them non-stop like this girl would. Haha!

denim dress

Shirtdress...This powerhouse piece is great for summer when bare legs are called for and it's equally as perfect for fall and winter when you can add leggings or tights to the mix. I just love a nice shirtdress paired with leggings and riding boots...Don't you? So classic! This MICHAEL Michael Kors shirtdress is calling my name! Just sayin'.

maxi dress look

Maxis...I love them for now for obvious reasons like they're ridiculously comfy and, as long as you snag one that flows nicely, they're cool too. But maxis aren't just for summer, oh no! They'll look killer with jackets later. One of my favorite summer to fall transitional looks is a maxi / denim jacket combo! I'm particularly feelin' this Vince Camuto jean jacket...

So, to sum up...If you find yourself wanting to update your wardrobe before fall hits, try to snag pieces that will work for your summer looks now AND for your fall looks later!
