Summer to Fall Shoes and Accessories

Can you believe that tomorrow is the first day of August? Fall is SO headed our way, and sooner rather than later, so although you just might not be ready to start thinking about your fall wardrobe, you could shop for summer to fall shoes and accessories that work now and will also work in autumn. When a season comes to an end, I usually stop shopping for that particular season, unless I find a great deal, and I instead look for transitional pieces that work for both the current season and the season ahead.

Ankle boots are great transitional pieces of footwear for instance. You can rock them with flirty frocks and skirts in the summertime and turn right around and pair them with skinnies and a slouchy sweater in the fall/winter. And my all time favorite transitional piece, the denim jacket, looks great with ankle boots in any season.

You may remember my scarf roundup from a few weeks ago...Well, I'm about to the sing the lightweight scarf's praises once again. Wear them with maxis now and make them part of a nice layered look come fall. I don't think us girls can ever have too many scarves. I highly suggest picking up a leopard print scarf. I've been wearing them for years and they're always in style!

A roomy tote is definitely a great thing to have on hand, especially for moms. I love my cute clutches, but I definitely use my larger bags more. Us mamas have a lot of things to tote around! Am I right? And don't be afraid to take your light colored totes past summer. Pair them with darker colors and they will really pop in the fall!
