Fashion is in bloom! I'm trying the midi skirt trend today. I have been waiting to find the just-right skirt to style this trend and I found it at Zara for only $80. The skirt is has flattering pleats and front pockets and is the lightest, breeziest fabric.
I'm trying to show you more about where I live with our Monday Mingle style sessions. DUMBO Brooklyn is a pretty interesting neighborhood. It's nestled right under the Brooklyn Bridge. There's so much to see--so I'm trying to share. These photos were taken by the lovely Suzanne Cohen (click here www.suzannecohenphotography.com to see her photos) at the gardens of the River Cafe.
The River Cafe is a wonderful NYC institution. It's got gorgeous views of lower Manhattan and this lovely little garden right out front. Hey fellas--if you're looking for a spot to pop the question--this is a good one! Check out the blooms.
Now back to the outfit. In my humble opinion, you need to add a heel to this skirt length. Otherwise, you can accentuate an unfortunate part of the calf. I added some nude DVF pumps I've had for a few years. Warning--watch the cobblestones in heels.
I added a colorful organic sleeveless tank top. Shhhh, here's a secret. I bought it in the kids dept. at Zara. It's a boy's tank top for $6.90. Yes, I bought in multiple colors. If there's one good thing about being a 32A this is it!
Then to add a playful touch, I carried my Talbots bee clutch (I also love this botanical bag from this season at Talbots.com). Fun! Thanks to shopping my closet and deals from Zara the look is under $100.
