Can you believe the holidays are over? Not only do I miss all the wonderful family quality time that comes with them, but I'm always so sad to say goodbye to the holiday party season. I'm talking about the good times, good company and goooood clothes. I'm a big fan of sparkle and I certainly bring out my fair share of it during the holidays...but just because we had to say goodbye to the holidays, doesn't mean we have to put our sequins away! There's no reason to reserve sparkle for black tie events. Any occasion can be special enough for sequins...even brunch with your mom. I know my mama certainly appreciates sparkles in any form. That must be wear I got my affinity for them. Haha!
We just welcomed a brand new year and what better way to shine in 2014 than with a little sparkle? I know you could use a good girl's night out or date with your honey. Sparkle definitely works for those occasions...And you could always throw caution to the wind and rock sequins in the daytime. Daytime sparkle is one of the most fabulous kinds in my humble opinion.

The Best Overnight French Toast Recipe
We've hit the winter lull--that lengthy stretch of season with no plans, no parties, nothing to do, and nowhere to go. I have to admit that at first, I welcomed the quiet obligation-free weekends of January. After the nonstop hustle-bustle pace of November and December, my family ...read more
Wouldn't it be fun to have a sequin cami peek out from under a blazer? A sequin sweater or jacket and jeans combo would be perfect for shopping no? You wouldn't believe how many ways a sequin blazer can be styled. And how about trying out the crop top trend? The only way this thirty something mama is even attempting that is if it's no more than an inch or two of midriff. A sequin crop top paired with high waisted wide legs would be super sexy! Wide legs are back in a big way and will be hot hot HOT this spring, so it's a great time to invest in some. And just like a little black dress, a little sequin dress is a marvelous staple to have in your closet. Don't kill me for saying this already, but soon we'll be thinking about Valentine's Day and a sequin dress would be just the thing to rock on heart day. Am I right?
