Hi, my name is Lauren and I'm addicted to buying pajamas...
Yes, it's true--and the struggle is real. I haven't met a pair I didn't like. Cotton, flannel, silk, and satin--I don't discriminate. Nightshirts, separates, robes, and slippers--you name it, I want it... Especially if they're silly, funny, over-the-top, and slightly obnoxious. Especially especially if they're irreverent and comfortable. In that case, well, you can just keep my credit card info on file.
April 16 is National Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day, and, needless to say, I'm totally on board with this totally awesome made-up post-Tax Day event. In fact, I'll be rocking a ridiculous pair all day long, while I unabashedly type away! I suppose I should mention that I do work from home. And that pretty much every day is PJ Day for me--at least unofficially.
In case you don't have the luxury of lounging in your robe, I've curated a few cozy styles that you actually can wear in public. You might not want to show them off at work (casual Wednesday, anyone?), but you can certainly wear these pieces out and about for a quick errand... perhaps to get your morning, (afternoon, and evening) cup of joe! No one will give you a second glance in these super-soft, but socially acceptable picks.
I've also selected a few cutesy pairs--to feed my own addiction! Note the caffeine motif--because that's my other vice.
