Maternity Fitness apparel has come a long way since my last pregnancy. Pregnancy is not the time to start an extreme exercise routine, but regular exercise is recommended for a healthy pregnancy, steady weight gain, to combat fatigue and build the endurance you'll need in the delivery room.
Now that my belly bump is growing and my body rapidly changing, I needed maternity fitness apparel that is supportive, allow for easy movement and are above all, comfortable. I am still not feeling all that great but am trying to meet my goal of doing prenatal yoga three times a week.
I recently tried a pair of maternity fitness capri pants from DLVR Maternity and they offer the kind of support this mama- to-be likes. Although my belly is still quite small, I know I will come to appreciate the supportive band in the DLVR™ Fitness Capri. As my belly grows, this ActivEmbrace™ waistband design will relieve the pressure off my lower back and pelvis (oh, I remember that feeling) and help me to be comfortable so I can focus on my fitness routine not the heaviness of my expanding belly. If more support is needed, there's an optional support belt that can be added or removed at any time.
The DLVR fitness capri is made from breathable Tactel™ fabric and the seams are flat so they don't irritate your perspiring skin. The fit is flattering and the length is just right for my petite frame. These pants are big on function and I love that they are made right here in the USA. Visit DLVR maternity for other maternity fitness clothing and accessories.
Looking for innovative and stylish maternity activewear? I previewed clothes by FitBump and I loved the chic patterns (more than stripes!), bright colors and great cut. The tanks are long to cover growing bellies and work great for the taller mom-to-be. I loved the innovative back zipper that allows you to accommodate for your growing belly (or shinking one, postpartum.) I love the soft, breathable fabric, and FitBump is committed to making their clothing fair trade! The philosophy of the company resonated with me. FitBump's focus is on living a healthy, active lifestyle, one that carves out time for moms to take care of themselves. More of the line is "due" in July.
For full length Yoga pants with options, I love the ultimate fitness maternity pants from "For Two Fitness". Although a bit long, (no petite length available) these pants are comfortable, tagless, and I love that the belly panel is versatile, it can be worn three ways. The technical BodyFX™ fabric breathes, stretches and is cozy soft. I normally do not gravitate toward bootcut pants, but these maternity fitness pants are super flattering and make me feel good about my growing and changing figure. Their maternity activewear tops have fun saying and make good lounge wear pieces."For Two Fitness" apparel is Made in the USA.

For stylish comfort, I love the line of maternity bottoms from fit 2b mom. The Synergy bottom has a fold over panel in a contrasting color. These maternity bottoms are great for Yoga, running errands and make fashionable lounge pants. They come in four-color combinations and add a little kick to your maternity fitness wardrobe. I love the Fit 2b Mom balance tank active top. The color detailing is fun and the belly coverage is just right-long enough to be comfortable and fitted enough to be flattering. I love the wider cut so that I can wear a regular bra underneath it. The maternity balance tank comes in four solid colors and three dual-color combinations.

And for the end of your workouts, a mini massage is a great way to cool down, relax and treat those hard-working muscles to some much-needed TLC. I love the Pressure-Point Massager Stick from Gaiam. The spiky, soft balls are perfect for those aches and pains that are associated with your growing and changing pregnant body.
