Brianne In The City: Bogs Fall Preview, BOB's New Strollers, Lens Crafters Eye Exams

When winter time rolls around, I know I can turn to Bogs for keeping my family and myself warm and dry during this rainy and snowy time. Bogs has been making warm, waterproof and comfortable all-weather boots for people who work (or play) in the most uncomfortable conditions. With more than 40 years of experience in the shoe industry, Bogs offers durable footwear made with high-quality materials for the men’s, women’s and kids’ outdoor, casual, industrial, hunting and agricultural industries.

Their newest edition to their fall collection, waterproof leather boots. The new and stylish designs are crafted with full-grain waterproof leather and lined with DuraFresh bio-technology to activate unwanted odors. Bogs Max-Wick moves sweat away to keep your feet dry and warm. The new leather fabric is available in July for men and women in an array of styles.

When it comes to a running stroller, I know I can always turn to BOB strollers for that high performance yet luxury feel. The brand recently launched two new strollers on the market the Bob Pro and Bob Flex.

Momtrends had the opportunity of previewing BOB's newest strollers along with speaking to Gia from Run Gia Run blog for fitness tips and how to involve your children in leading a healthy lifestyle. I found that since becoming a mom, it's extremely hard to schedule in my workout times, but with the BOB I can get in an exercise while giving my baby a nap or snack at the same time.

The BOB Pro stroller is fully loaded for all of your outdoor adventures. The Revolution PRO, with its hand-activated rear drum brakes, is perfect for conquering any steep hill that stands in your way. The Pro features a 9-position adjustable handlebar and is also available in a double, two-seat model. The hand activated rear drum brakes add control for conquer hills & inclines. The swiveling front wheel allows for superior maneuvering. Best of all the easy, two-step folding, lightweight frame for convenient transport and storage. The canopy adjusts to multi positions for protection as well as a large viewing window that lets you keep an eye on your baby.

The Revolution FLEX will be hitting stores this coming this July with its 9-position adjustable handlebar. The Flex creates the perfect fit for any parent on their path to fitness. Also available as a two-seater model. The stroller is ultra-padded with adjustable reclining seat for enhanced seating comfort. The five-point padded harness helps keep your child comfortably secure. Their low boy cargo basket provides plenty of undercarriage storage. A simple twist of the front wheel tracking adjustment knob keeps you rolling straight. When engaged, the parking brake helps secure a stopped position. The wrist strap helps you secure stroller when strolling and provides handy fold lock when folded.

A new school year usually means new shoes, new lunchbox, new clothes, what about new glasses. Students want to look their best heading into the first day of school. A great pair of glasses is a must-have accessory for kids and teens, but the right pair will not only help you look good, but will keep their eyes healthy and safe.

Poor vision can put kids at a disadvantage in learning and succeeding in school. The start of a new school year is the ideal time to make sure kids are seeing their best. This fall, Lens Crafters and OneSight will open the first New York City school-based Vision Care Center at PS 188 in Brooklyn. This sustainable model gives students access to affordable vision care and ultimately helping them see their future. Now, getting an eye exam means walking down the hall instead of missing half a day of class, or parents missing work.

Eye exams should be done as early as 6 months of age!
