iSanctuary: Beautiful Jewelry Handmade by Survivors
As awful as it is to think about - people are trafficked everyday. In fact, over 27 million people are enslaved worldwide, including 17,500 of which are trafficked from the U.S. But through tragedy there is hope with these victims through iSanctuary, a company that employs survivors of human trafficking in both India and the US through the production and sale of fashion jewelry. This allows victims to earn dignity through professional opportunities as they reintegrate.
With a focus on "Purchase with a Purpose," we love their collection of stylish and on-trend bracelets, necklaces, earrings, stationary as well as their fantastic gift ideas like the Falling Star Classic. As for the jewelry, we love the stunning collection of stylish pieces with some of our favorites being the Peacock Tails Earrings, Aztec Brass Earrings, Everyday Hoops Rose Gold Earrings, and the Chevron Brass Necklace - all of which are handmade and whose victims are paid a fair and living wage.
I had the chance to test out the Brass Drop Big Earrings and the Bellissimo Gold Necklace. I love how they add style to any look as well as how unique and stunning they are to wear. I also love how on-trend and stylish they are that are great options for meaningful gifts that give back in a big way.
Not only about showcasing beautiful jewelry, iSanctuary is educating about human trafficking with the hopes to essentially end it. It also provides a wage to those that have suffered and allows them to have a creative and very meaningful outlet to move on with as a valued member of this community.
