How to Wear Pastels Now

One of spring's hottest fashion trends will be pastels and I, for one, couldn't be more thrilled. I've always loved the pretty femininity vibe that pastels exude. And when styled as part of unexpected combinations, like with leather for instance, they can be quite edgy. A pastel monochromatic look would also definitely be gutsy. There's a fine line between cool and Easter egg, but that doesn't mean it can't be pulled off!

Icy pastel hues in various shades were all over the spring 2014 runways, but there was one pastel color in particular that was quite dominant. Pastel pink will be MAJOR this spring and there's no reason you can't start rockin' it now! You wouldn't believe how many fabulous pastel pink options are out there in the shopshere. Pastels are definitely not only appropriate for Easter, so get ready to add a dose of pretty to your winter!

It may be the dead of winter, but there are plenty of winter appropriate ways to infuse pastel pink into your wardrobe. Accessories are always an easy way to work in a trend no matter what season it is. A winter coat, scarf or beanie are obvious choices. A scarf and hat are necessary in the Polar Vortex and can add feminine flair to a plain old puffy coat. You could also really GO for the pastel trend with a beautiful pastel pink coat. Oh, and we must not forget shoes...Pink ballet flats could almost work as a neutral with a variety of looks!

For a fun pop of color, you could add pastel pink to an all black outfit with a glam statement necklace or bag. A little black dress would be the perfect partner for a piece of pastel bejeweled neck candy and how chic would a black turtleneck sweater and skinnies look with a pink bag? And if you wanted to add pastels to a comfy-casual look, a pink boyfriend shirt would be darling with leggings and ballet flats or boots.

So, are you ready to wear pastels now lovelies?
