Get Out and Play with a Smarter Set of Wheels
Our family has been through many wheels over the years. Since we are mostly an urban family, our kids found scootering the best way to get to school. My kids got bigger, so I’ve been researching options for them. Now it's time for an upgrade to our wheels and we've got some ...read more

There is one fall 2013 fashion trend that I know is still a bit controversial. What is this trend you ask? Drum roll please...It's camo! Don't groan. I'm sure some of you are grimacing at the mere thought of putting camouflage on your body, but hear me out before you make up your mind...A few years ago, you would never have seen me singing the praises of the camouflage trend, but thanks to a pair of camo skinny jeans that Carly from ThirtySomethingFashion.com convinced me to buy, I'm all over this trend and then some!
It was by no means love at first sight when I first saw my camo skinnies. Camo prints just aren't typically my style and when I unfolded those jeans, I felt like I was looking at a whole LOT of camo...but I trust Carly, so I tried them on. As soon as I looked in the mirror, I fell in love. Not only was the dark print slimming, but I instantly saw just how versatile camo could be. You can pair it with black, red, plum, camel and even grey...There are really so many combos that work! And even if camo denim is a bit too much for you, there are a slew of other camo options that could be just what you're looking for.
Now I certainly don't recommend going for a head to toe camo ensemble. That look is reserved for our brave troops. For us fashion lovin' mamas, camo is best served in small doses. For example, how would you like to rock a camo jacket with some boyfriend jeans and a pair of booties? Or perhaps you could throw a camo scarf on over your neutral hued layered look? Another option would be to add a pop of print to an all black outfit with some camo foot candy. And if you're really camo shy, try a camo watch or bangle on for size! I guarantee that the perfect camo piece is out there for almost anyone.
So, what do you think lovelies? Are you ready to give camo a whirl?
