When losing weight, there are times when you reach a plateau and need some motivation to continue. I realized that my now loose yoga pants and large t-shirts were a look that I needed to say good-bye to. In addition, I also needed to try something new to get me to the next level of weight loss.
So, to avoid the baggy t-shirt sweatpant look, I kicked up my style and turned to Gaiam for a new look. I immediately loved the Flourish Performance Tee for many reasons:
- The Castlerock silver color was a favorite of mine. It also comes in black, bright rose and bright violet.
- It is Made in the USA.
- It is a blend of recycled polyester.
- You are able to get a workout in and look stylish at the same time.
The Power Stretch Pant also had great features:
- The Compression seams keeps everything snug in place. While losing weight, I like the feeling that compression pants has to offer.
- They are also Made in the USA.
- The eco fabric slims thighs and calves. (What more could a girl want?)

I am continuing on the Jenny Craig My Days plan and I am trying my best to drink water and not eat late at night. I am happy to report that with the Fitbit, I am doing my best to walk about 10,000 steps a day . But, I felt like I needed something else especially on a bad weather day. Jessica Smith's 10 Pounds Down is the perfect solution.
The video has three high energy workouts that are 20 minutes each. Each workout has a focus on either arms, legs or abs. For a busy mom, the video and timing is perfect. You can alternate what workouts you choose. And, you will need to because you will feel sore after each one. I like feeling the burn knowing that it is helping me get to the next level. Jessica Smith breaks the moves down and makes it easy to follow along. Cardio combined with targeted moves makes 10 Pounds Down an effective workout.
Of course, while doing the workouts, one of my girls always joins in. I think my youngest thinks I'm dancing in the living room. Being healthy is what it is all about so I am glad they are joining in the fun.
