Freshen Up Your Style for Summer

Now that summer's official start is almost here, it's time to freshen up your summer style! For this harried mama, that means taking stock of my closet and making sure that I have enough of my favorite summer wardrobe staples. With my son out of pre-school and an energetic little toddler to ran after, I need easy, comfortable pieces that will work with my busy lifestyle.

Considering I spend most of my summer on-the-go, refreshing beverages that I can grab for a quick pick me up are clutch. That's why I love Bottled Starbucks® Iced Coffee so much. I can pick up these Starbucks goodies at my local drugstore or grocery store and keep them stocked in my fridge, so I can have a tasty treat whenever the mood strikes.

One of my favorite things to do with the kids in the summertime is walk over to their favorite local park. I typically rock my three core summer wardrobe staples for these outings. A sundress or maxi, flat sandals and a roomy tote make up this mama's summer uniform. The comfy, flowing sundress or maxi keeps me as cool as possible. The flat sandals allow me to run around after my precious cherubs. And the tote holds all of the necessities us mamas need like diapers, wipes, sunscreen, lipgloss, sunnies, pacifiers and who knows what else.

naturewalk

I tend to be the hardest on my summer wardrobe because warm weather is what we have the most of here in Florida. So, consequently, I wear my warm weather pieces more often than my cold weather pieces. That's why I take an inventory of my closet at the beginning of the summer and fill in any holes that I find.
