With the Fourth of July holiday weekend coming up in a few weeks, I thought now would be a great time to talk about Fourth of July fashions for the kiddos. As I've mentioned in the past, I don't think a red, white and blue color palate has to be exclusively worn on the Fourth, but I definitely always dress my family in patriotic colors when Independence Day rolls around.

I always love a good excuse to coordinate our family's outfits. Holidays are perfect occasions for this. Wouldn't your kiddos look just darling in coordinating Fourth of July looks? I'm all about mixed prints any day of the week and with the stars and stripes being star players on this day, it's easy as pie to mix those prints.

Why not deck your little dudes out in stripes like the ones found on Criquet Shirts? These vintage inspired shirts come in men's sizes too so daddy can get in on the coordinated looks action too. And I love that they're made of 100% organic cotton. My boys deserve the softest shirts on the block. Just sayin'. And these shirts would look darling next to a star covered dress no? Carters' tiered chambray sundress is just the ticket! I do believe my lil' lady bean needs one of her own.

Red, white and blue goes beyond clothes, you can insert a little red, white and blue into your day via a bag, hat or even a water bottle. Our family loves to go to the beach to watch the fireworks light up the sky over the ocean and a picnic is always a part of the equation. I think it would be so adorable to pack it up in a red, white and blue tote. Don't you? Penny Scallan Design has the cutest Fourth of July inspired collection. Their tote is definitely going on my wish list!
