Monday Mingle: Delicate Jewelry and Bold Contrast

monday mingle fashion for moms

Winter has it's grip on us all and fashion is the way to see the bright side. I'm showing you how to dress like the sun is out even in the winter. Of course you've also got to be practical. A New York girl can't run around in sundresses when it's snowing, but she can put on a cheerful sweater and a cool pair of contrasting booties to show winter who's boss.

Let's start from the top. It's from Amazon Fashion: C&C California Women's Colorblock Sweater(under $50). I love the side stripe detail--it's slimming and modern. And the color? Hurrah for the cheerful hue. I added a necklace from (scored last summer at TJMaxx) and this new delicate bangle from Anthropologie. It's called the Clustered Crest Cuff--I'm thinking of getting in on the delicate jewelry trend.

Now the cords. I've got two pairs of these. They're a cross between a legging and cords from AG Adriano Goldschmied. You'll love the stretch and fit on these--get a few colors if you can!

Now the shoes. You know I love my shoes. The Stella Cordel from Hush Puppies are awesome in the contrast black and brown--and the fringe zipper is a cool accent. They come in three colors, but I like the contrast.

This is how I'm getting through winter, bright and fashionable and always wearable! Now what about you? How are you staying stylish this winter? I hope you'll join Monday Mingle and share your style.
