As our fall calendar continues to be centered around the home, I find myself turning to comfy clothes and shoes more and more often. I'm taking care of the kids, work and our new puppy and I'm constantly stretched thin. I have zero desire to be uncomfortable when I'm out and about. I'm sure you fellow mamas understand. Between school drop off and pick up, chores and work, I need to be productive with my time and I'm much more so, when I'm in the right outfit. And that's where this season's hot fall sneaker trends come into play. Here's my favorite fall sneaker trends and my picks of five black sneakers to love.
Fall Sneaker Trends Five Black Sneakers to Love
When professional attire isn't required, fun sneakers are the way to go. You don't have to lace up your workout shoes to be comfortable. There are plenty of statement sneakers out there that will set off your fall looks wonderfully, yet still make room for comfort.
My feet have gotten fussier and fussier over time. Or maybe I’m just no longer willing to wear uncomfortable shoes (hello 49). I’m not one to compromise on style, I’ll keep hunting rather than get shoes that won’t go the distance and look great. These chic leather sneaks are handcrafted in Italy with an anatomically contoured footbed and chunky shock-resistant sole.
Since I’m now a puppy owner, I appreciate the zip access for these. I can put them on and off in a flash. They have an option for plain white laces or the luxe white laces with silver accents I’m styling (for those of us who like to be a little EXTRA). Note: these are also available in extra wide width to help accommodate bunions. Sole Bliss Hero ($289)
The K-Swiss Women's Verstad 2000 S Sneaker was introduced in 1966. Fifty years later they are still right on trend. This everyday walking shoe combines the looks of a vintage running shoe and the timeless court shoe. I love the outsoles with proven elements of K-Swiss’ tennis designs, the signature stripe accents. And I also love the price. K-Swiss Women's Verstad 2000 S Sneaker on Amazon here. ($55)
Platform Slip On
I love the big chunky platform trend. Sturdy shoes make me happy. And you know what else makes me happy? A shoe I can slip on and off with ease. This comfy 2" platform is a style you'll wear everyday. J Slides Aileen Sneaker ($159)
What the Teens are Wearing
This one is from my girls. First released in 1982, this reboot of Nike's first Air-cushioned basketball shoe goes colorful, bold and modern in perforated leather with vibrant accents. My girls live in their Nike Air Force One's. While they are heavy, they are also really sturdy and are great for travel. Nike Air Force One ($90)
Are you getting in your 10,000 steps? I'm sure trying. I’ve found listening to podcasts, walking the dog and calling friends on the go, all are helping me get there. Another thing that helps, wearing shoes that are made for walking. They look great too. These women's lifestyle sneakers have a silhouette inspired by '70s kicks to add trendy retro style to your wardrobe. They are made with leather, suede and nylon materials for a sleek look that keeps your outfit streetwear ready. These kicks also include an updated N logo for a fresh finish that lets you raise the style bar. New Balance 327 Sneaker ($89.99)
