Keeping up with my vow to talk about fashion as we really live it. Today I'm talking about adding a few budget-friendly accessories to keep you going through winter.
That means it's not time to think spring in February. Though I love the thought of floral dresses and sandals. Reality is coats and scarves. Kohl's send over some winter accessories from the Vera Wang Collection and I had fun adding them to things I already own.
The coat is probably 4 or 5 years old, and was an investment. It's going to be worn for many more years. The idea is to use accessories to make it feel new. The Simply Vera Vera Wang Woven Grid Oblong Scarf in glacial blue is a perfect choice. It brings light and attention to my face for only $24.
Crossbody bags are right on trend. This one is the Simply Vera Vera Wang Cherry Hill Pleated Crossbody Bag and comes in 4 colors.
I'm trying to get out of the rut of only wearing my diamond studs. These bejeweled hoops from Vera Wang are fun and at $13 an easy pick. Plus, earring are just about the only thing you see when you're bundled up!

Stylish Beach Accessories for a Day in the Sun, Sand, and Surf
I've been coveting this Eugenia Kim sun hat that's been all over Instagram for the past two months. With a wide-brim and the words "Do Not Disturb" embroidered on the front, it's the ideal accessory for a quiet day of reading on the beach. Built-in shade, some peaceful privacy, ...read more
The jeans are skinny but really stretchy and I think zippers are easier to wear trend-wise that distressed denim. Both are "in" right now, but the distressing can be tricky.
Underneath I've got some great jeans I found at Ala Mode a boutique I found in Aspen. I added my Hush Puppies boots from last year and some thick wool socks.
Kohl's also send me this delish cream scarf. I've been wearing this J.Crew turtleneck all winter, it was fun to freshen it up with a new scarf. The weave has a little sparkle too and the Simply Vera Vera Wang Cable-Knit Sequined Cowl Scarf is on save for $12!
