I love a shopping mission. When Children's Place armed me with a gift card and sent me into the Union Square store in NYC, I was equal to the task. I wanted to outfit my kids for an upcoming trip to Nantucket AND stash away a few birthday gifts for friends. Mission accomplished.
The store is packed with colorful displays and ample sizing. Our little fashionistas love to dress themselves, so I try to provide the mix and match pieces that can build a wardrobe. Here's what I picked up: Dresses, swim, sandals, pj and accessories. We counted 3 outfits for each girl, with an outfit averaging about $20 each. And I ask you, how rockin' are this gold sandals! They were the hit of the fashion haul.
And let's not forget about accessories. Whenever I'm in Children's Place I stock up on socks (right now there is a Memorial Day sale on 3 prs for $3!) in funky bright colors and prints and cool fashion accents such as scarves and barrettes. This summer, I was digging all the beach bags and sunglasses. Check out a birthday gift I put together for our of my daughter's kindergarten friends. Total cost $20 for a super present.
Momtrends was not paid for this post. We did get a gift card to shop.
