Here's my 4th of July outfit. It's got all the elements of style I was looking for--it's summery, involves at least some flag-related colors, keeps me cool and is incredibly comfortable. Oh, did I mention I scored most of it at TJMaxx for about $75?

I went to the TJMaxx shop in the Financial District and the first thing I spotted was the Elle cowboy hat from Melissa Obidash. I have been getting better and better about protecting my face from the sun. I've been using my Coola face lotion every day and wearing a hat. Yes, yes, I know very responsible. But don't worry, I'm not too grown-up, I still insist that the hats have to be cute.

Next I spotted the maxi skirt from Lauren by Ralph Lauren. It was on sale for $39.99 and I've already worn it 3x. This skirt is perfect for travel--it'll definitely be in my roller bag all summer long.

Finally I scored the stacked bangles from Amrita Singh. They normally sell for $75, but these were $19.99. I like the pop of color and I love finding deals at TJMaxx.

I already had the white tank and the fun striped white Lands End sandals. Overall I was going for a bo-ho nautical look. Did I pull it off?
