When you combine chic fashions and a worthy cause, you're likely to get this trendspotter mighty excited. This week we shopped the Theodora & Callum spring collection to support one of our favorite causes Baby Buggy.
Jessica Seinfeld served as hostess at the Mark Hotel in NYC as a glittering group of moms/fashionistas gathered to shop. Theodora & Callum co-founder Stefani Greenfield (that the lovely woman next to me in the featured photo). Robert Verdi was pretty much the only man in sight as women snapped up the exquisite scarves, jewelry and shoes in the collection.
I attempted to focus on my shopping list--after all 25% of the proceeds went to support Baby Buggy's mission--getting gently used baby gear into the hands of families desperately in need. But it was easy to get distracted as Hoda Kotb (the lovely Today Show talent), Kathy Griffin and other celebs made their way through the gathering. But even a great photo op can't keep me from my mission of sharing the hippest trends with moms.
Here's what made my shopping bag:
Purple Ikat Scarf ($175). Designer Stefani has such an eye for print. The scarves are definitely a signature of the line. Use as a wrap, cover up or simply a burst of color in your wardrobe.
The jewels all have a Mediterranean feel. There are divine Greek-inspired pieces, but I went for this Gold Cleopatra Necklace ($325). It's a statement piece that will liven up my wardrobe.
And maybe my favorite find were these espardrille wedges. The Theodora & Callum women found the sublime fabrics and teamed up with Stuart Weitzman on the crafting of the shoe. See the line of Linen Biarritz Espadrilles here. I picked this Legume print ($395).
