The perfect outfit for trick or treat. Sharing favorite fresh fall styles for moms on the go from Athleta.
It's trick or treat time in Brooklyn and we take it seriously here. The houses are all decked out and the kids costumes' are fully planned. Since I am more of a spectator, I wanted to be cozy and chic (and warm). I found all of this at Athleta when I was a speaker at a Soho store (Randi Zinn of BeyondMom.com put the event together). I got to shop and hang out with great entrepreneurs in a night of fun.
Fresh Styles for Fall
Here's the key--great pants and layers will carry you through fall. My advice? Try to work in some options to jeans. When you find out how cozy this pair is you might be a convert.
The Wander pants are so soft inside! Athleta made them with durable Trek Tech™ fabric that's cozy on the inside, with a bootcut leg that works well with booties like this pair from Jeffery Campbell (they are last year, but I also love this western bootie too.
Are you loving the new long length in tops? I never jumped on the cropped trend, but this one I like. I layered a classic white top over a black tunic. Athleta calls it the "Long and Lean Shirt" it's a good description. It's got an exaggerated shirt tail and plenty of stretch in it.
The tunic can be worn alone or as I'm wearing it. This is called the Long and Lean Sweater Vest. I'll wear it in the summer with leggings and flats--it's also a great travel piece (might take this skiing!).
Finally, my obsession with rose gold continues, I'm wearing these two rings together. One is "real" the other Bauble Bar--can you tell the difference? If you need to check click here to see the Bauble Bar pick.
