For me, winter is all about comfy, cozy fashions. Holiday parties are over and until Valentine's Day brings along some festivities, there aren't a ton of reasons to get all dressed up this part of the winter. Instead, it's all about staying warm in the the frigid temps that so often come with January's arrival. That doesn't mean that we can't look cute while we're staying warm...Am I right?!? And what's cuter than a burst of COLOR?
While your cold weather wardrobe probably contains a slew of neutrals, might I suggest adding a pop of color here and there? Here in Florida, we don't necessarily need the large and in charge puffer coats that you northerners rely on, but scarves are definitely winter necessities. In fact, I've amassed quite a collection of them. They're perfect to help ward off the chill when I'm outside sippin' on my morning cuppa Joe.
As you can see, for this particular winter look, I added a pop of color to my jeans, graphic sweatshirt and ombre scarf combo with some bold colored pointy toe flats, but I recognize that boots are what most of you are wearing these days. So, you could add your pops of color with accessories like scarves instead of footwear. Although, I have to say, I do think a pair of bright colored snow boots or wellies is awfully fun too. I have a red pair of Hunter wellies myself that's gotten loads of wear!
