Yesterday Ralph Lauren launched the first-ever online fashion show for the Lauren collection at www.ralphlauren.com/Lauren. For nearly seven years I was a Ralph Lauren girl--my last gig was as the buyer for Women's Collection and Black Label and I still crave fashion. Unlike years past when I had to put on my 3"heels and head to Chelsea, this time I just clicked on my computer.
The show features commentary (simulating the real-life chatter that comes from the front rows) from the industry'??s most-seasoned fashion editors including Marie Claire'??s fashion director Nina Garcia, Harper'??s Bazaar'??s executive fashion and beauty editor Avril Graham, Cosmopolitan'??s fashion director Michelle McCool and O, The Oprah Magazine'??s creative director Adam Glassman.
I love that the show provides prices with each look and I could favorite outifts (such as the Tenny Ruffle Wrap Top $139) as they came down the virtual runway and then shop directly from the site. From there, I could click on a look and shop--it is all seamless. Thank you Ralph for knowing how mom's shop.
