There'??s just something about the end of summer that makes me think of next year'??s summer vacation. If you are anything like me, you'??re thinking of ideas for your next family vacation as well. Lately, I'??ve had the Bahamas on the brain. Want to know why?
A few weeks ago Momtrends, along with other media personnel, were invited to celebrate the opening of the delicious Virgil'??s Real BBQ at Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas. The event was held at Virgil'??s Real BBQ in Times Square, which has been around for 17 years. Now they are teaming up with Atlantis for family style dining '?? both indoor and outdoor, and for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
One highlight of the event was learning more about the Atlantis Resort. I think it'??s great that the resort embodies the term '??family friendly.'? Whether you'??ve got children all under the age of five, or a combination of tots and teens, fret not because Atlantis has pretty much got you covered, especially with their entertaining kids club.
Another highlight of the event was the children, little budding chefs, who prepared our lunch with professional chefs and the Atlantis Resort staff. They cooked up Memphis Style Pork Spare Ribs, Barbecued Chicken, Cornbread, and Mac & Cheese. It was super scrumptious! If your family is vacationing at the resort and your children need to feed their creative sides, you can choose from a two or three-hour culinary class where they can cook up a tasty meal and dig in afterwards, all in their state-of-the-art kitchen created just for kids.
As stated by George Markantonis, President and Managing Director of Kerzner International Bahamas, '??What could be better than BBQ in the Bahamas?! We are thrilled to welcome Virgil'??s Real BBQ as part of the Atlantis family and provide guests with a taste of the South while enjoying paradise.'? Can we say, '??delicious'??
To celebrate the opening of Virgil'??s Real BBQ Atlantis, the resort has created an Island Grilling Recipes e-cookbook, available for download. Simply click the link and get ready to cook.
I am ready.
