It is almost time for winter break - can you believe it? To break it up, Scribble Press is kicking off each day by reading a winter story followed by activities like arts and crafts, games, music and more!

Week One:
Ages: 3.5-6 years old
9:00-11:00am

December 19
“If You Take a Mouse to the Movies” by Laura Numeroff
Kids can get into the holiday spirit by playing Pin the Ornament on the Christmas tree, make their own holiday mice, and sing festive songs.

December 20
“Light the Lights” by Margaret Moorman
Kids can make a picture frame to cherish holiday memories with brilliant Menorahs and glimmering Christmas trees inspired by this charming book. They will also be able to sing songs, make crafts, play games and decorate holiday cookies.

December 21
“Winter Poems compiled” by Barbara Rogasky
Kids can make winter handprint trees, snow globes and other winter themed crafts.

December 22
“Frosty the Snowman” by Jack Rollins and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Kids can dress up as Rudolph, make a whimsical Frosty that won’t melt and do the reindeer pokey.

December 23
“There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bell” by Lucille Colandro
Tickle your funny bone with this silly rhyming book as they also sing their own rhymes.

Week Two:
Ages: 3.5-6 years old
9:00-11:00am

December 27
“Mrs. Greenberg’s Messy Hanukkah” by Linda Glaser
This fun event will involve making latkes.

December 28
“Katy and the Big Snow” by Virginia Lee Burton
Kids will make their very own tractors and special snow paint to make winter scenes.

December 29
“The Mitten” by Jan Brett
Kids will get to make and decorate their own mittens.

December 30
“The Night Before New Year’s” by Natasha Wing
Kids will make a special placemat to ring in 2012.
