Lester's in NYC, a family owned business since 1948, is back - featuring trendy back to school fashions, shoes and accessories for kids of all ages. At a recent event, we spotted some of the latest looks including feathers and fur accessories for backpacks.

Held at its Second Avenue location in Manhattan, the Lester's Back to School event included a preview of some of the hottest clothes and complimentary hair styles provided by Cozy Friedman and her team from Cozy's Cuts for Kids. Hairstyle choices included the "Kingston Mohawk" for boys (inspired by Gwen Stefani adorable son) and the popular "Five Minute Looks" from Cozy's book, Cozy's Complete Guide to Girls Hair.

At the event also had a preview of Skanz that are making QR codes fashionable with Skanz bands bracelets and iPhone covers. Each QRcoded bracelet links you to your Skanz site enabling you to share your contact info, social media, photos and music. The bracelets come in three different levels of thickness and lots of colors. No room in your clutch to stow tons of business cards? Not to worry when you are wearing your QR code that can be scanned with an iPhone. They are even becoming so popular that they were recently in the New York TimesFashion & Style section. At the event, we also learned about SwagStamp, a company developed by New York moms Lisa Zorfas and Karyn Greenblatt that allows you to personalize your sneakers and add a 3D monogram to your boots. Buy your boots or sneakers at Lester's and for an additional fee, they will send them out to SwagStamp to be monogrammed for you. This is one hot trend your kids will love that fashion expert Jill Martin recently featured on The Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda.
