Land of Nod, an inspired retailer for baby and kids furniture, bedding, accessories and toys, opened their very first brick-and-mortar shop in NYC. Opening today, this 3,200 square feet store will be filled with an exclusive assortment of children's toys and holiday décor. To kick-off the stores opening they are celebrating with some fantastic events for the kids and this weekend includes a Grand Opening party, Stupid Sock Creature Demo, Mask Making and Thanksgiving Crafts. We will be sharing their calendar listings every Friday!

November 9th from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Make your own Sock Creature with artist John Murphy.
John Murphy, creator of the Sock Creatures will be joining us for a book signing and workshop Friday, November 9, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Come by to have your book autographed and make your own Sock Creature. Materials will be provided, but you’re welcome to BYOS (bring your own socks).

November 10th from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m
Make a mask by Mudpuppy.
If you’ve ever wanted to transform into a wild animal, a scary monster or a charming princess, visit us on Saturday, November 10 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. for mask making. There will be masks and art supplies available for you to use in-store and, of course, plenty of mask kits for you to purchase and take home with you.

November 11th from 3 p.m - 7 p.m.
Classic fall crafts with artist Sweet Paul.
Renowned crafter and New York’s own, Sweet Paul will be with us Sunday, November 11, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., to make autumn crafts with all of you. Materials will be provided, including elegant, multicolored feathers. It’s gonna be sweet.

November 13th from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Holiday Storytime by Chronicle Books.
If you need an extra bit of cheer, we doubt you do, but just in case, visit us on Tuesday, November 13, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for holiday storytime by Chronicle Books. We’ll be reading some holiday classics, beloved by kids and adults of all ages.
