Woon Kids are slightly deceptive. Yes, they are simply adorable toys. But these portable dolls are actually a cleverly disguised built-in-speaker and iPod or MP3 port so that parents and their children can listen to music while on the go. Available as a boy or girl doll (named Pax or Lulu), Woon Kids work by simply attaching onto a stroller, crib, car seat, diaper tote or a school bag with a piece of Velcro. All you have to do is make sure your music is loaded up (and charged) for some easily listening while cruising around town with your little one.
I love the concept of having a way to enjoy music without putting on headphones. I often took numerous walks through the park in those early days with my daughter and I really longed for music. Now that my daughter is a toddler (and an avid music lover), I loaded my iPod up with a mix of '??kids music'? and some of my tunes, attached it to her umbrella stroller and we were off. Not a loud blaring speaker, our Woon Kid (Lulu) was a pleasant addition to our walk to the store as we listened to music by the '??Beatles'? and '??No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.'? Passerby'??s laughed as my daughter was bopping her head along to the tunes and kept requesting another song until we made it back home. This pleasant and lively adventure was a fun way to enjoy a trip outside by listening to music that we love.
I also really enjoyed how the dolls or designer iDolls, as the company called them, really stays true to an imaginative and playful form complete with trendy and chic clothing (a purple dress, scarf and a purple ribbon for Lulu) and a (shirt with a peace sign and purple bow tie for Pax).
The company, whose tagline is '??live life with music,'? also stated that the Woon Kids are great to help encourage sleep as children listen to soothing music and melodies. They also state that Woon Kids and music can encourage '??creative thinking, reduce stress, nurture the mind, body and spirit and result in overall happier kids.'? With such a functional, portable, and cute modern doll, I'??m sure we'??ll be seeing more Pax and Lulu'??s on strollers everywhere.
