We are always looking for new ways to get crafty. Beautiful, creative, fun artwork anyone? I thought so! Take a look at how you can help your little one get inspired by the beach without leaving your home. Artisands "painting with sand" kits come equipped with everything your family need to create one-of-a-kind works of art.

When we got got pitched this kit, we immediately thought about the mess--it's basically dirt that gets everywhere. Have no fear: Artisands understands this and supplies a drop-cloth and work trays. (While doing this project inside might be okay for the older kids 7+, I made sure to work outside with my little artists 2 and 5.)

Here's how it works: You are provided with several sticker sheets in which you can work with a design provided or peel away the coverings to make your own motif. The toughest part of this project is deciding which vibrant shade of sand to use. After you're finished sprinkling the sand, all that's left is to pop it into one of the frames (provided) and hang it up or give it to a friend.

Momtrends Tip: Is your child going to a birthday party? One of these framed crafts could make a great, handmade card. The frame has a blank side perfect for personalizing.
