Summer party season is upon us and I couldn't be more excited. I love casual entertaining. To prep for the best season of the year, SUMMER!, I got a chance to work with BJ's Wholesale Club on some fun facebook Live videos featuring tips from me, beauty blogger, Kimberly Smith, and chef Glenn Lyman. Now it's time to share these Mom Trends at BJ's Wholesale Club with you.
You probably already know you can save a bundle at BJ’s Wholesale Club, it really is a one-stop shopping destination where members can save up to 25% off grocery store prices. As I explored the club I was thrilled to see all the brands I love at amazing prices, PLUS unexpected delights like a huge selection of fresh flowers, baked goods and rosé. It’s a party waiting to happen! Summer here we come!
A trip to BJ's is really all you need to prepare your family and home for summer celebrations. Here are some official Momtrends Tips for prepping your home using great products from Clorox and P&G.
Tip One: Prevent your washing machine from developing a bad smell from high humidity.
It seems like the rain just won't stop this spring. We've had loads of muddy clothes to contend with. And with periods of high humidity in the summer, my washing machine can develop an odor. To get rid of the smell, my tip is to run an empty load with your favorite cleaning detergent and hot water.
After it runs, I often leave the washing machine door open so the air can circulate and it will dry inside. It's a good chance to open all the windows too and really air out the laundry room.
Bonus Tip: I assign everyone a pool towel at the beginning of summer and use a sharpie or name label to keep them straight.
Tip Two: Get your kids involved in the cleaning.
School may be out for summer, but that doesn't mean the kids can't pitch in. Some of the simple tasks that I ask my two daughters to do are: wiping down kitchen counter tops, emptying or loading the dishwasher, sweeping and taking out the trash.
When I'm entertaining, these simple tasks definitely help me check chores off our list quickly before guests arrive. We like to tackle the dishes first, then wipe down the countertops, sweep and take out the trash. My two girls like to divide and conquer these tasks so they’re done faster!
Skip the Crowds and Take Your Family Skiing in Waterville Valley

Tip Three: Make an accessible table setting station for the kids.
Summer means more free time to be active outdoors and more free time to pitch in on family chores. A great way to get the kids involved with summer celebrations is to have a basket for your utensils and Bounty napkins, which you can save $2 off an 800 count, now through June 19. Find this offer at BJs.com/Coupons.
When I ask the kids to set the table, they can pitch in a flash and don’t need my help getting things off high shelves!
Tip Four: Try to eat as many meals outside as possible
Eating outside sure makes cleanup easier when you don’t have to sweep or vacuum. Clorox wipes with Micro-Scrubbers are great for prepping your outdoor furniture for the first BBQ’s of the season and also for wiping down tables after eating. You can save $2.50 off any one Clorox Disinfecting Wipes with Micro-Scrubbers, 3 pk//70 ct. now through June 19, 2017. To get the coupon offer, visit BJs.com/coupons.
